But I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to stop living your life. When you stop engaging in physical activities, your muscles weaken, and the pain can often worsen. I help my patients stay active, even with back pain, so they can continue enjoying their favorite activities while working toward pain relief. I guide them to fix the problem and not give up on life.
BELIEF #4 – Slow Down When Necessary, But Don’t Give Up
While it’s true that you may need to slow down during an acute episode of back pain, it’s important to remember that you don’t have to give up on the activities you love forever. I always tell my patients that if they experience a flare-up, they may need to temporarily reduce their activity level, but the goal is to get them back to their regular routine as soon as possible. I believe in helping people stay active and return to their sports, hobbies, and daily life without long-term limitations using appropriate treatments, you can recover fully and continue with your life without constant fear of reinjury or discomfort.
